Acme Nevada
Acme Nevada Overview
Located 18 miles northeast of Hawthorne in Mineral County, Nevada, Acme was a railroad station on the Nevada & California Railway.
Today, Acme is considered a ghost town, with no visible remnants of its brief existence. Its history serves as a testament to the numerous transient settlements that emerged and disappeared during Nevada’s mining boom in the early 20th century.
I have searched through online newspapers and cannot find any references in the resources that are available.
Acme Nevada History
The Fitting District, which was about seven miles north, was home to multiple copper mines and the station town was established to support the district.
The town was platted but folded before it was developed further.
