Castle Rock Nevada History

Castle Rock, from which the district takes its name, is a huge mass of cropping, very similar in appearance to what the cropping of the famous Gold Hill ledges were in an early day.

Several sources identify Castle Rock as the next station west of Mount Airy, but there appears to be little substantiation for this claim.

Speaking of mobile apps, two of my favorite mobile apps for exploring the southwest are two different mapping apps one that builds your schedule and the other helps me look to see if my rural destination is taking me to private or public lands. Highly recommend both!
