Going out to dinner and a movie with the family is one of our favorite past times but unfortunately, it can get pricey.  So rather than avoid hitting the theaters with the family, we watch for bargains to help save money on those family fun nights.

Aliante

Regal Cinemas at Aliante offer $6 per person all day. (Click here to read more about Regal Value Days)

Brenden Theatres at the Palms

At Brenden Theatres at the Palms, 4321 W. Flamingo Road, tickets are $5 all day Mondays for all 2-D movies, except those from IMAX and Sony.

On Tuesdays, two tickets, two drinks, and popcorn are $22, with the same restrictions.

All day Thursdays, anyone 50 and over with a players card can purchase tickets for $4 and a small popcorn and small drink combo for $3.50.

Cinedome 12

But for new releases in a traditional theater setting, you can’t get cheaper than the Cinedome 12, 851 S. Boulder Highway, where matinees before 6 p.m. cost $4.50 and adult evening admissions are $6.50, with a $2.25 3-D surcharge.

Colonade

Colonnade – 8880 S. Eastern Avenue – Henderson

Dive in Movies at the Cosmopolitan

Monday evenings from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Marquee at Boulevard Pool transforms into a colossal movie screen, showing your favorite films high above the Las Vegas Strip. From classic films to modern blockbusters, take a dip or lounge poolside as you sip on handcrafted cocktails and enjoy traditional movie snacks under the stars.

Free for hotel guests and children who are 5 years of age and younger and $5 for everybody else.

Fiesta Henderson

Rainbow Promenade

At the Rainbow Promenade, 2321 N. Rainbow Blvd., moviegoers 60 and over can attend any Tuesday screening for $5, students can get in for $7 all day Thursdays, and showtimes before noon cost $5 every day.

My favorite is their A-List, which I am a member of – for $20 a month, you can see up to 3 movies a week for free.

Rave Town Square

Rave at Town Square –  6587 Las Vegas Boulevard South – Las Vegas

  • Tuesday – $5 tickets
  • Wednesday tickets are $5 with valid student ID.
  • Tickets to the first showing of each movie before 2 p.m. are $6 every day.
  • Tickets for hotel and casino employees, with work ID, and their guests are $8.

Regal Entertainment Group

Regal Entertainment Group offers $6 tickets all day Tuesdays at its theaters at

West Wind Drive-In Las Vegas

Located at 4150 West Carey Avenue in Las Vegas, the West Wind Drive-In is one of our family favorites. We can take our own food and drinks and enjoy two movies for the price of one.

I can never get Bob to go out on a Tuesday night when they offer discounted tickets at $5.25 per person instead of $7.50 per person {which is 12 and older}. Below are the current ticket prices:

  • General admission – $7.50 per person
  • Kid’s admission – $1.25 for children ages 5 – 11 years of age
  • Free admission for children 4 years of age and younger
  • Tuesday night family fun ticket price is $5.25 per person
