Besides this being a reference to Led Zeppelin’s final studio album, This is actually the Back Porch route, In reverse sort of. The route has been retooled on the back half and now has a different return route. Those who have been on the regular route know you need to be able to pull up and lower yourself in the different sections of the route. Going in reverse will prove to be just like going…. In Thru The Out Door.!!
From Red Springs Park we will move in a South Bound Saurez pace in the early morning Sun for a few minutes. At some point we will be in the shade hiking like a Fool in The Rain……We will meet up with Wilson on our upward climb thru a slot or two. I will give it All Of My Love for hiking to get everyone thru the morning jaunt. The remainder of the Up Climb will be at a moderate pace with the ability for anyone to snap pics. Once at the top we will Hot Dog it over to The Slab Rift area for a final break before descending down the Rift’s down route. Our pace for this hike will be fair to midland ( slow to moderate).
