Please, READ EVERY WORD OF THIS DESCRIPTION, Answer the question at the end. Approach shoes are necessary for this one.
JANE’S SLOTS N GULLIES for ADVANCED/BEGINNER/ INTERMEDIATE level scramblers.
This is a strenuous, short route, climbing up and down and thru horizontal, vertical and angled gullies and a few slots. Upper body strength is necessary. Some slots are dark and narrow.
I will assist/offer advice to some extent, but everyone must be able to climb mostly unassisted. Very little coaxing/handholding available because the route goes up and down in narrow slots and gullies a lot of times.
YOU must have some scrambling experience with me, preferably on a Beginner Scramble or be a very fit, agile, unafraid scrambler with very good cardio fitness and have attended a recent Beginner Skills.
UPPER BODY STRENGTH TO LIFT YOURSELF UP AND DOWN WITH YOUR ARMS IS ESSENTIAL! No one is lifting you up or down.
This won’t be a very first event for anyone and inadequate experience and/or stamina or significant fearfulness will not work. There are no walk-arounds for most of it.
Group size maximum is about 12.
IF YOU HAVE NO RECENT SCRAMBLING STATS, DON’T SIGN UP. PLEASE.
Previous Documented scrambling experience is required for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
distance : about 3 miles total
elevation gain around 1000 vertical feet with a lot of up n downs on the way so at least 3000 total along the way.

A backpack, water and a snack to be out about 4 hours are required.

I am an outdoor enthusiast who would rather be on a backcountry backpacking trip than a stroll on the beach (although I do love the beach!).
Living in Las Vegas has afforded me the opportunity to easily explore the Southwest region of the United States.
A nature lover, I am often found at the end of the pack taking photos and videos of the wildlife found on the trails. Colorful flowers, desert animals, and unusual geological rock formations are often the majority of my photos.
