Magic Mtn (5C) Magical Birthday Hike ~ Vegas Strong Theme

October 1 @ 6:30 am - 12:00 pm UTC-7

Please note, our articles may contain referral or affiliate links.

We will meet directly at trailhead (inside the Red Rock loop). Preference to hikers needing the card. This is a special day as a remembrance for the events of October 1, 2017 and it’s my birthday.

Read entire write up and answer ALL questions.

Waiting list set to automatic.

This is a GREAT scrambling route. The route twists and turns appearing to dead end before reaching the summit. There are tunnels, traverses and chimneys. We will use 3 ropes (don’t forget to duck twice at the last one). The pace will be slow to moderate.

It is important to get a good night rest, eat breakfast and replenish with electrolytes before hiking this peak. If you feel sick or are not well rested, stay home. Always carry emergency contacts and medical information with you including your ID. Keep conversations low during technical sections. Do not wear earphones, play music or answer your phone, it is disruptive and dangerous. Always stay with the group at all times.

Great views from the summit.

Being On Time Be

Please be respectful of others and be on time or you will be left behind.

Pace: You absolutely need to know your pace and ability levels.

Group Hiking: Always stay with the group.

Safety: Getting everyone through the hike safely is my number one priority.

You can help everyone and yourself stay safe by being aware of the following: Rock Fall – This is one of the greatest dangers we face. Don’t unnecessarily cause any extra rock fall, and be certain to alert hikers ahead of you should a rock accidentally start to fall their way.
