Overlooking Lake Mead, this well-maintained park attracts the Desert Bighorn Sheep from the nearby mountains who visit to graze on the park’s grass.
You will see groups of the sheep lounging around in the shade with their babies while others nibble on the nearby lawn.

How to Get to Hemenway Park
Hemenway Park is located at 401 Ville Drive – Boulder City, NV 89005.
From your original starting point, take exit 15B from I-11.
Parking at Hemenway Park
Depending on the time of day, parking can be hard to find but I’ve personally never had an issue (have had friends say they couldn’t find parking when they were there).

A favorite in Boulder City, the Hemenway Park is comprised of approximately 10 acres and includes the following amenities:

Warning
A few words of warning:
- Drive slow through the parking lot as sometimes they do wander among the cars and will “pop out” in front of you unexpectedly.
- Just because they are close they appear friendly. THEY ARE NOT! I have seen people try to get close to a large male ram, which the ram didn’t appreciate the photo op and started chasing the photographer.
