Pahrump Balloon Festival Overview
The Pahrump Balloon Festival brings together hot air balloon pilots from the western states. The Pahrump Balloon Festival is a great event for the family to enjoy hot air balloon rides, entertainment, great food, rodeo, car show, arts and crafts, and more!
Since 2015, the festival has grown with the number of balloons as well as the number of onlookers increasing each year.

Pahrump Balloon Festival Tips
Arrive early. We arrived about 1/2 hour prior to the start to meet up with friends and we literally took the last parking spot.
Another reason to arrive early is to watch the balloons launch while the weather is cooler and before the winds get too high.
Pahrump Balloon Festival Weather
The Pahrump weather for February can be hit or miss of a sunny cool day to brrrrrrr. Even though we were dressed for cold weather, the 2018 Pahrump Balloon Festival was COLD early in the day and we were constantly in line for the hot chocolate to keep warm. If the weather looks cool, be sure to dress in layers, wear warm socks, hat, and take gloves just in case the morning temperature is a bit brisk.

Pahrump Balloon Festival
I am an outdoor enthusiast who would rather be on a backcountry backpacking trip than a stroll on the beach (although I do love the beach!).
Living in Las Vegas has afforded me the opportunity to easily explore the Southwest region of the United States.
A nature lover, I am often found at the end of the pack taking photos and videos of the wildlife found on the trails. Colorful flowers, desert animals, and unusual geological rock formations are often the majority of my photos.
