Wedekind, briefly referred to as Bryan City, was a mining district in Washoe County, Nevada.

1901 (I have found references of a town back to 1877 so researching to find more about the year established.)
Wedekind Nevada History
Named after a piano tuner, George Wedekind, who was also a prospector who discovered gold in the hills northeast of Reno.
Timeline
- 1896 – George Wedekind discovered gold in the hills northeast of Reno
- 1901 – An assay office, machine shop, store, and boarding house were constructed
- 1902 – The post office opened
- 1905 – The post office closed
