Clark County, Nevada is home to a lot of amazing places to visit and attractions to see. 

While we love our road trips and backcountry hikes, but there is still so much to see in our own backyard which makes a “weekend at home” a great weekend!

Trivia: Clark County was named for William A. Clark, a Montana copper magnate.

I am not going lie… just because it’s a dry heat doesn’t mean it’s not fricking hot! 

One year we camped at Valley of Fire State Park at the beginning of June and one of my friends claimed we were camping “on the surface of the sun.” (It was a wee bit HOT!)

In the summer most of us head to Mount Charleston for our outdoor play or to the mountains of Utah.
